Privacy policy

Your invoices never leave your browser.

InvoiceNow is a client-side application. The data you enter — your business, your clients, your line items, your totals — stays on your device. This policy explains exactly what that means, what limited data we do see, and what your rights are.

Last updated: June 13, 2026

1. The short version

  • We do not collect, store, or transmit the contents of your invoices.
  • We do not require an account, email address, or any personal information to use the tool.
  • Drafts are saved to your browser's local storage and stay on your device.
  • We use privacy-respecting analytics that count visits but cannot identify you.
  • We do not sell, rent, or share data with advertisers.

2. Information we do not collect

InvoiceNow runs entirely in your web browser. The information you enter into the invoice form — sender details, client details, invoice numbers, line items, rates, totals, notes, payment instructions, uploaded logos — is processed locally and is never transmitted to our servers. There is no database on our side that stores your invoices, no record of who you billed, and no way for us to retrieve a past invoice on your behalf because we never had a copy in the first place.

Generated PDFs are assembled in your browser using your machine's processing power and are saved directly to your device's downloads folder. They never pass through us.

3. Information we do collect

3.1 Local storage on your device

To enable the auto-save and resume-draft features, we store your current invoice draft in your browser's local storage under a key named invoicenow:draft:v1. This data lives on your device, is not sent to us, and can be cleared at any time by using the "Reset" button inside the generator or by clearing your browser's site data for this domain.

3.2 Anonymous, aggregate analytics

We use privacy-respecting analytics to count how many people visit the site, which pages are popular, and how the tool is being used at an aggregate level. The analytics service we use does not set cross-site tracking cookies, does not fingerprint visitors, and does not record personal identifiers. We cannot use it to identify any specific user or any specific invoice.

3.3 Server logs

Our hosting provider keeps short-lived request logs that include your IP address, user agent, and the URL you requested. These logs exist for operational reasons — abuse prevention, debugging, security — and are rotated automatically. They are not used for marketing or profiling.

3.4 Information you voluntarily send us

If you contact us by email or through the contact form, we receive whatever you choose to send (your message, your email address, and any attachments). We use it only to reply to you and retain it for as long as needed to maintain a useful support history.

4. Cookies

We do not use advertising cookies, tracking cookies, or cross-site cookies. The only client-side storage we use is the local-storage entry described above, which is functionally required to make the auto-save feature work.

5. Sharing invoices via link

When you click "Copy link" in the generator, the entire invoice is encoded directly into the URL. The link is generated in your browser; no copy of the invoice is sent to us. Anyone with that link can view the invoice — treat it like any other sensitive URL and only share it with the intended recipient.

6. Children's privacy

InvoiceNow is a business tool intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under the age of 16. Because we do not collect personal information from any visitor, this is structural rather than aspirational.

7. International users (GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA, PIPEDA, LGPD)

Because we do not collect personal data through the generator, most data-protection regimes apply trivially to InvoiceNow — there is nothing to access, port, correct, or erase on our side. For the limited categories described in section 3 (server logs, analytics aggregates, and voluntary correspondence), you may contact us to exercise the rights granted to you under your local law, including the right to access, the right to erasure, the right to object, and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

We do not "sell" personal information as that term is defined under the California Consumer Privacy Act, and we do not engage in cross-context behavioral advertising.

8. Security

The site is served exclusively over HTTPS. Because invoice data never reaches us, the most important security surface is your own device: keep your browser updated, be careful where you store downloaded PDFs, and treat shared links like any other sensitive link.

9. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy in a meaningful way, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top and, where the change materially affects users, post a notice on the homepage. Continued use of the site after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

10. Contact

Questions about this policy or about how InvoiceNow handles data can be sent to digitaldomaindeals@gmail.com or through the contact page.
